Kathy Drake Mosco, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, was reunited with her mother, father and brother on May 7, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on December 7, 1974, in Little Rock, Arkansas, to Shirley (Bettis) Thomas and Norman K Drake, Kathy lived a life filled with love, family, and cherished memories.
On March 3, 2008, Kathy married the love of her life, Marvin Mosco, in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. Together, they made their home in Okemah, Oklahoma, where Kathy dedicated 22 years of her life working at the Anchor glass plant in Henryetta, OK as a Lab Tech before transitioning to a role as an Administrative Assistant at the Okfuskee County Sheriff's department.
When Kathy was able to attend she found solace and community at the Okemah UPC Refuge Church. She had a deep appreciation for country music and treasured the special date nights she spent with Marvin at the casino and other memorable places and events.
Kathy's heart belonged to her family, and she cherished every moment spent with them at the lake, enjoying cookouts, swimming, and celebrating holidays and birthdays together. Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she and Marvin played an integral role in raising them, a responsibility she held as her utmost priority.
In her final moments, Kathy's last words were a testament to her unwavering love and dedication: "Take Care of my Babies."
Kathy is survived by her devoted husband, Marvin Mosco of Okemah, OK; her children, Victor and wife Lacey Artussee of Okemah, OK; J.T. and wife Trista Artussee of Henryetta, OK; Kendra Renee Herriage and husband Scott of OKC, OK; Kaitlyn Alaine Drake of Henryetta, OK; Courtney and husband Kieth Hare of Weleetka, OK; Mandy and husband Rodney Brill of Morris, OK; Kasey Mosco of Weleetka, OK; her siblings, Barbrie and husband Buddy Argo of Caney, OK; Dean and wife Josie Hazelton of Ardmore, OK; Donna and husband Eldridge Dewberry of Ardmore, OK; April Drake and Mike LAFromboise of Atoka, OK; her grandchildren, Kayson Mosco of Okemah, OK; Landrie Mosco of Okemah, OK; Tommy Frair Jr. of Okemah, OK; Kenneth Frair of Okema, OK; Kallie Hare of Weteetka, OK; Korbyn Hare of Weleetka, OK; Austyn Brill of Morris, OK; Khiya Brill of Morris, OK; Kelby Brill of Morris, OK; Ryatt Brill of Morris, OK; Haisley Brill of Morris, OK; Audrey Artussee of Okemah, OK; Bentlee Artussee of Okemah, OK; Aiyanah Artussee of Okemah, OK; Saylor Shipley of Okemah, OK; Chelsea Brewer of Okemah, OK; Lorrie Artussee of Okemah, OK and a host of Nieces, nephews and cousins, as well as many friends who grew to be family
Kathy Drake Mosco will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched with her warmth, kindness, and devotion.
