Mark Eugene Hawkins, 61, of Okemah passed away on June 13, 2025. Born on June 10, 1964, in Orange County, California, to Carol and Patsy Hawkins. In 1987, Mark met and married the love of his life, Terryln Hawkins, in Oklahoma City. Together, they built a life filled with joy and laughter, eventually settling in Okemah in 2012. Their union was blessed with three sons and, later, cherished grandchildren who brought immeasurable happiness to Mark's life. Known affectionately as "Uncle Marky" and "PaPa,". Mark's journey was marked by love, music, and a deep connection to his family and community. Mark was a man of many talents and passions. A skilled drummer who began playing in high school, he was in the process of forming an '80s band before his passing—a testament to his enduring love for music. His passion for drumming was only rivaled by his love for the outdoors; hunting and fishing provided him with peace and a profound connection to nature. Mark's greatest joy was his family. He was a constant presence at his children's and grandchildren's sporting events, often known for his enthusiastic and spirited cheers from the sidelines. His energy and support were felt by all who knew him. Professionally, Mark dedicated many years as the manager at Crest Grocery Store, where he formed lasting relationships with both customers and employees. His kindness and genuine interest in others made him a beloved figure in the community. A member of The Refuge Okemah United Pentecostal Church, Mark was deeply involved in his faith and cherished the bonds he formed there. Mark is survived by his wife: Terryln Hawkins of Okemah, Oklahoma, his children: Dustin Hawkins and wife Kaitlyn of Nuyaka, Oklahoma, Frankie Hawkins of Okemah, Oklahoma, Austin Hawkins of Okemah, Oklahoma, his sisters: Tina Hart ok Okemah, Oklahoma, Louise Wingate of Okemah, Oklahoma, Pam Lancaster and Husband Lonnie, his grandchildren: Kash Hawkins of Okemah, Oklahoma, Kollin Hawkins of Okemah, Oklahoma, Lyla Hawkins of Nuyaka, Oklahoma and a host of extended family and friends who will miss him dearly. His legacy of love, laughter, and unwavering support will continue to inspire all who knew him. Mark was preceded in death by his parents Carol and Patsy Hawkins. A celebration of life is set to be held Tuesday June 17, 2025, at 10 A.M. at The Refuge United Pentecostal Church in Okemah, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Community Care Funeral Service.
